I first met Jen in 1979 when I was at my first job out of University at NOP (National Opinion Polls). She worked they too. We immediately liked each other and she was pleased to hear that I lived in Palmers Green, near to where she lived in Muswell Hill. I invited her and her boyfriend to our housewarming party and we became firm friends after that.Jen has always had a lot of friends and she has always been the most caring, generous and loyal person I have known.

We shared a flat together for many years and it was a very happy time. Even though I decided to go to New York to further my career we always knew we would still be friends. In fact she visited me many times in New York and I was very happy to hear (even though she’d walked through a storm storm on the Brooklyn Bridge!) that she understood why I liked New York so much. She got it, we got each other and that doesn’t happen often.

I will always miss her, she will never be forgotten,
